The first but definitely not the last!
My very first post!! I know that the background of my blog still pretty much look like their in the dirt(especially since i'm using the default templates). IF any of my nus friends sees this they'll pretty much swear their heads off this. And the conversation will most probably go something like this:friend: what the F* is that ugly default template doing ?
me: what?? I'm lazy!
friend: like hell.. it doesn't take an effort to go find some templates and just paste it on first what?
me: yeah... okok
(exaggerated version1)
Well.. i'm just procrastinating here coz there are a pile of unfinished work waiting for me to do.(No surprise here hur?)
I have a feeling that this is going to be a loong long post.
Well... It takes less than a month for school to suck all the fun out of me. My mood had been sliding and my workload has been increasing exponentially. That doesn't even sound as bad as it is. Mastering SQL by Martin Gruber has just became my 'bible' and my laptop has now became my latest work companion. I can't seem to go anywhere to study without my laptop which proves to be very much of a chore since i'll need to find a powerpoint everywhere i go and of course it'll be better to have internet access then i'll really love that place! (HINTS:please tell me where i can find those places to study?)
Got barred from bringing in my notes and my gruber bible in yesterday at the national library's science and tech library. That anal security guard just had to check everything! How anal! Luckily, i was studying with Ade and she brought me to over to her school at city hall. And i spent the rest of the night there attempting to devour my 800 over pages bible. It's great to study outside where it's all quiet. I seem to be better able to concentrate there, i needed that! i have like 1 finance quiz and 1 cs2100 mid term exam next week plus a lit assignment to submit and a stupid cs2250 project meeting that just kept being postponed to attend. My plan is to finish my lit assignment today so that i can do some research in the reference library later to bump up the 'shallow-ness' of my analysis of the two poems. (quoted from a new friend from somewhere)
I have to admit that i'm pretty much digging up my own grave taking EN1101E: Understanding literary studies this sem. I really like reading all the lit books and learning how to analyse a poem. I genuiely think that it's interesting. But after talking/discussing to my fellow lit students in my tutorial class makes me think that i'm darn screwed up for this module. I can't analyse things as good as them coz all i read for school are just numbers and pictures and codes that are in english but don't really make much of a sense to anyone else but Soc people. Words and readings are about as foreign to me as those non english/ english codes. In conclusion, i'm screwed for this module.
And let's not even start on my cs modules. Those are incredibly long stories to tell. In short, i've got one lousy lecturer, one terribly fast going module that i have to chase up to after devouring my Mastering SQL bible and a hell lot of readings to do for another.
I think i shall stop here.. else it's really going to be a super long post. I'll put up more pictures later when i get bored of studying.Especially my dad's birthday pictures. Those pictures are really darn nice and it's a waste not to share it.
